IDEAL Programs
Our programs are fully developed and resourced. We create our own curricula, all of which either meet or exceed the base requirements set by the Thai Ministry of Education. Our programs utilize Western textbooks from well-known publishers like Oxford, Cambridge, Longman, Houghton-Mifflin, Harcourt and others. Our ESL programs also utilize several teaching materials, such as cassettes, CDs, flashcards, wall charts, etc. We have a full-time artist on staff who generates multitudes of high-quality supplemental materials for all our programs. Teachers need only bring their talent and creativity into the classroom; all else is taken care of by the company.
All our programs at all our client schools have a Western academic manager on site who is responsible for the daily running of the program. The manager acts as a liaison between our teachers and the schools, facilitating all academic-related communications as well as providing daily support for the teachers.
English Program
Established in 2002, the English Program is IDEAL English Academy's fastest growing and most successful program. Students study ALL core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, History, Health, etc..) in ENGLISH with professional, qualified western teachers.
Sacred Heart Convent’s English Program now can claim five years of success. What began as a small Prathom adventure is now looking ahead to complete the vision of a full Anuban to Grade 12 program in the school year 2007/2008. This school year, 2006/2007, saw the expansion to Grade 11. There are two divisions of grades Five, Seven, Eight and Nine. Every year since its inception has meant growth and expansion for the English Program, this year has been no exception.
As the English Program has grown, so too have the needs to completely furnish the students with suitable learning environments. A new Science Laboratory was built in the middle of this current school year. The Science lab was built in response to anidentified need. The EP science program rapidly outgrew the original arrangement of the shared facilities on the 4th floor. Sacred Heart Convent responded quickly to the expressed need by graciously and generously converting a classroom on the 6th floor into a bright and shiny new laboratory.The teacher office on the 5th floor is now at full capacity and extra office space is required to house a growing teaching staff. These are “happy problems” insofar as they are an honest measure of the English Program’s healthy growth and success.

Intensive Program
Established in 2004, the IP is an extension of the ACE
Program, where students study all four language skills (speaking, listening,
reading and writing) five times a week with IDEAL’s native English-speaking
teachers.
We currently
teach 3 levels, Prathom 1-3, and will expand at least one level per year.

Active Conversational English (ACE) Program
In this, our oldest program, students study
conversational English (focusing on improving speaking and listening skills)
twice a week with IDEAL’s native English-speaking teachers.
The reading and
writing skills are taught by the school’s own Thai English teachers in a
separate program. IDEAL teachers in the ACE Program
have their own air-conditioned classrooms, so they can create their own personalized learning environment.
